What is Salvation?

What is salvation and how is it obtained? Salvation is the process of deliverance from sin and its consequences, primarily separation from God, achieved through Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.

In order to achieve salvation, we must first hear the Gospel.

Romans 10:17

“Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

We must repent and turn away from our sinful ways.

Luke 13:3

“No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

We must confess our belief, our faith, in Jesus.

Matthew 10:32

“So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.”

We must be baptized in water for forgiveness of our sins.

Mark 16:16

“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

It does not end here. We must continue to remain faithful unto death and walk in the light of God.
