PODCASTS

The people at Baker Heights are passionate about studying the Bible and becoming better disciples of Jesus. We are passionate about our own time we spend in studying the text and we’re passionate about helping others come to know God through His Word.

This podcast is designed to guide those who are new to Bible study and to challenge those who are practiced in studying the Scriptures. Easy to listen to when you’re on the go, these podcasts will help you learn to love Jesus and live like Him in your daily life.

The Podcast Team is a sub-committee under the Digital Outreach Committee at Baker Heights. Watch for podcast announcements in 2024.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

LADIES PODCASTS

Modeled after Titus Chapter 2, the “Stronger Women” podcast, hosted by Kacie Oller, presents multi-generational conversations about life, the Bible text, and shared wisdom. This podcast aims to reach the unchurched and seekers with a message of hope and an invitation to join the community of faith. For the believer, our goal is to encourage women to become stronger disciples who love better, who are more self-disciplined, and who strive daily to bring glory and honor to God.

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good,  and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” Titus 2:3-5

SOCIAL MEDIA

As a family of believers in Jesus Christ, we strive to support, encourage, and help each other. We are a community that meets together in Abilene, Texas, and we also have a strong digital presence that uses social media to stay connected throughout the week.

Because we know that some folks don’t have a strong network of support, we also use our social media to reach out to those beyond the walls of Baker Heights. Our social messages are encouraging, thought-provoking, and designed to help you turn your attention away from the things of this world to the things of God. We have a passion for God and compassion for people.

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” Romans 12:9-18
