So, we have begun a new year. It’s still kind of hard to believe that 2024 is here. I sure hope (and pray, pray, pray) that 2024 will be an awesome year for the Kingdom here at Baker Heights! The past year has been one filled with great blessings, tremendous challenges, and opportunities beyond description. 

There have been so many unsung heroes amongst us. You don’t get mentioned publicly, but you have played a very important role in 2023. Whether you sent cards regularly, made phone calls to encourage people, made visits regularly to uplift your brothers and sisters, willingly served in any number of capacities because of your love for Christ and His church, unwaveringly taught classes on Sundays and Wednesdays… and the list goes on, we thank you and praise God for you.

I think of those in the Sound Room, who continually find themselves willingly behind the scenes. You all have made a real difference. I know I’ve left some things of service off this list. But you know who you are. You get little, if any, recognition. But you are beautiful because you serve the living God!
 
Romans 12:10 —“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

Matt. 5:16 —“…. Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven”.

Gal. 5:13–“you, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh, rather, serve one another humbly in love.”
 

Church —these and many other passages of scripture, describe so many of you. Thank you for your service to the King. Thank you for living for Jesus! Let’s together make 2024 an awesome year for the Kingdom of God!
