Teach the Children: A Note of Encouragement

As a family of God here at Baker Heights, we are obligated to care and protect one of the most precious and important part of our family, our children!

Jesus emphasized that children are precious to God. He warned not to look down on them because their angels always see the face of their Father in heaven (Matthew 18:10)! He also taught that welcoming children is like welcoming Him and the One who sent Him (Luke 9:48)!

This is a note of encouragement for those who have taught, those who are presently teaching, and those who will become needed teachers for our precious children. Also, as a church, we are all a part of one of he most important missions we have as a family of God.

TEACH CHILDREN

To be a teacher is a very difficult task but very rewarding, it involves the following:

  • Be in the classroom: Always be there and have a classroom that is organized and inviting.
  • Be on time: Be there to greet the children with a smile, hug, or an encouraging word.
  • Be prepared: Get into the Word! Study the lesson.
  • Be thankful: God has blessed you with the opportunity to teach His Word to our children
  • Be prayerful: Most importantly, pray that these children will learn to love God and know His word.

EXHORTATION

We, as a family of God, must accept the task before us and strive to teach our children the Word of God. Join those dedicated teachers who are already at work. Be encouraging to those who are already involved and keep our children always in your prayers!
