what we believe

Recognizing that we are all at different places along the path of our faith walk with God, at Baker Heights we value you:

Just as you are, for who you are because of the experiences (good or bad) that you have gone through in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Whether you are looking for a place to help or to heal (maybe both), the Baker Heights Church family invites you to come see us. Even if your faith has been shaken, needs to be strengthened or right now does not allow you to believe in God…

We Believe that…

The Bible is God’s infallible Word! It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. It is both timely and timeless! (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

We Believe that…

God loved us so much that He sent Jesus Christ (His only begotten son) to die on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

(John 3:16)

We Believe that…

After water baptism (immersion), the Holy Spirit transforms the believer in mind and lifestyle into the image of Christ

(Acts 2:38; Colossians 2:12;20)

We Believe that…

Our corporate worship together (centered around the preached word and acapella singing), serves as encouragement to one another and at the same time is our attempt to praise our Creator. (Ephesians 5:19)

We Believe that…

Our time around the Lord’s Table (communion) serves as a weekly reminder that our Lord sacrificed his body and blood on the cross paying a debt He did not owe. This reminder, compels us to live in daily service to our king. (Romans 12:1)

At the Baker Heights Church of Christ, we don’t want you to come and be like us, our hope is that you to join us as together we all become more like Him! (Colossians 1:27)
